Curriculum of Film making

The course curriculum of film production major aims at mastering the various courses of film production, including production, editing, production, sound, and screen writing, through theoretical classes and practical workshops.



Scenario creation

This course studies the literary and structural elements of the scenarios that become the mother of the film. In this course, we will select and analyze representative movie scenarios for film companies and study the direct effects of scenarios on movies


Image representation

This course seeks the possibilities of expanding the film language including dramatic movie and tragedy movie through the analysis of sound and image elements and experiments the applicability.


Work analysis

Work analysis is not only the first step of film research, but also a field that needs to be constantly interested in the progress of research. This course analyze how narrative aspects interact with these elements such as analysis of visual areas based on mise-en-scéne, editing, camera movement and analysis of auditory area centered on sound and music


Advanced Production Practice

This course accumulates experience for more systematic film research and development by verifying film knowledge acquired through film production practice as work.


Film Production Practice

This course accumulate experience for more systematic film research and development as a professional producer by verifying film knowledge acquired through theory and production practice.


Special Effect Analysis

This course deals with the process and kinds of development of special effects through analysis of existing works and production process videos


Dramatization

This course deepens the understanding of the dramatization by studying and doing the theory and practice of the movie scenario, and then based on this, practices the methods of efficient dramatization expression.


Filming / Lighting Studies

Through the analysis of movie images, this course explores the filming and lighting of film images throughout film and digital areas


Shooting Movie Sound Design

This course studies sound design that creates and combines the auditory elements of movies and visual works.


Movies and special effects technology

This course analyzes the video special effects applied to each work through existing video works and understands the principles.


Creation Methodology

This course studies methodologies for developing and developing stories and images that are central to dramas, experimental films, and documentaries in a variety of approaches to reality or imagination.


Research workshop

This course teaches the methodology of drawing out the desired acting from the performers as a director.


Planning and production research

This course studies the roles and functions of film making and planning, and the prospects for the future.


Shooting master class

In this process, some of the films remaining in the film industry are selected from classical films and contemporary films and studied only in terms of photography.


Mise-en-Scène Research

Mise-en-Scène is an important part of the visual elements that make up the film. And Mise-en-scène research is important not only in the field of production but also in criticism. This course studies not only the artistic composition but also all visual elements of the film such as screen shape, color, and makeup.


Editing Research

This course aims to understand the artistic application and extensibility of image editing through the history and theory of editing, the most important expression technique of image, the analysis of the work, and the practice.


Narrative scene analysis

In this process, we analyze the scenes of individual films systematically from the perspective of narrative, drama, and shooting, and learn the role of dramatic tension, composition, shooting, editing strategy, sound and color in film.


3D CG analysis of video special effects and animation

3D graphic creation tool is indispensable for special effect video of movie and animation production. This course aim to cultivate the ability to apply properly in actual production site by grasping the basic concept of various graphics algorithm applied to existing 3D production tool.
