The Film Making major, Graduate School of Advanced Imaging Science Chung-Ang University, is the first MFA(Masters of Fine Arts) in Korea. It is the only one of the national video graduate schools to be selected for the first, second, and third stage BK government projects and has been operating until now. Therefore, in addition to scholarships, BK scholarships are available to students.

In addition, DCRC(Digital Contents Resource Center), which was co-founded by Avid Korea and Chung-Ang University, won a contract 6.8 billion won and Seoul Industrial Cluster won a contract 12.5 billion won For progress in creative programs. The company has invested 600 million won in CJ Media and 400 million won in KM Cultures has produced and distributed each4 feature films. Besides, we have been improving quality of workshop through Securing numerous on-site equipment Carl, and RED by various government-led projects.

We have graduated students who are active in various fields such as Eun Lee president of Myung film, Yoon-suk Kim chairman of the film promotion committee, Suna Kim professor at Dankook University(Produced ‘Rikidozan: A Hero Extraordinary'), Sori Moon professor at Dankook University, Jungkook Lee professor at Sejong University, Yun-Soo Jeon professor at Ajou University(Produced ‘Portrait of a Beauty’, ‘Le Grand Chef’), Yeong-joo Byun director (directing 'Helpless’), Yong Hwa Kim director(directing 'Mr. Go’, ‘Take off’), Hyunseok Kim director(directing ‘Cyrano Agency’, ‘When Romance Meets Destiny’), Youngmin Kim, Banghyun Kim(produced ‘Secretly Greatly’). Enrolled students who have been made works during the school year are also achieving brilliant results like invited to the film festival.

Educational objectives

The major of Film production provides opportunities to re-examine the way to understand films through individual workshop in the first semester directing, filming, edit, produce, sound and scenario. In other words, there is a goal to produce excellent professional film manpower who have practical capabilities to directing-oriented perspective that required by the field
