The major of Film & Animation industry Policy Making and Planning studies the business practice of video industry business such as film production, planning, public relations marketing, establishment and evaluation of policy for the video industry and culture, and policy alternatives. As the market size of the video industry expanded rapidly in the 2000s, it required professional workforce suitable for each field. The Graduate School of Advanced Imaging has established and operated the Film & Animation industry Policy Making and Planning for the field-oriented business practice education which is different from the existing film theory and film production major in order to meet the needs of the video industry field.

There are two major divisions in the major of Film & Animation industry Policy Making and Planning. One is the policy research for the policy establishment and evaluation to develop the video industry and realize the culture welfare through the film and the other is the industry research to raise the capability to act as an expert in diverse fields of the video industry in the level of entertainment business. For this purpose, we will study through the subjects such as image policy seminar, video industry seminar, video related law, investment in video contents, budget method, survey statistical methodology, international exchange of video industry.

Students will be able to overcome the gap between theory and reality through a systematic course and a lecture by field experts, and will be reborn as a talented person with logical feasibility, dream about future and positive outlook for the future. If you anticipate the specific course of the students through graduation, It will be an international distribution specialist for video contents, and a video promotion specialist and also be researchers and practitioners of film-related public institutions such as the Film Promotion Committee and the Korea Culture and Content Agency, the planning staff of each regional film committee or cultural foundation.
